All oz books are amazing! This reader is very good also.
A little dark but still fun

This was another fun edition in the Oz series of books. I enjoyed the story and the characters, both new and old. Baum also spent sometime clarifying the history and mythology of Oz, which answered a number of questions I had. Unfortunately the book was also a reminder of what “never dying” can potentially mean. I don’t want to give spoilers, but I will say that “never dying” includes body parts that characters may become separated from. It’s a bit grotesque, but things like that tend not to bother kids too much. Phil Chenevert’s narration was wonderful, as always.

Phil did a great job of reading this rather disturbing instalment of the Oz books. I was quite disconcerted by the woodmans back story, and the story has some details that if you think too hard about them makes this almost a horror story. Still extremely entertaining adventure!
wonderful

M. Chenevert has a vim like a storyteller and a cadence I find pleasant. I will continue listening to his Oz readings, for he is the best at them. no one else seems to read them in such a fanciful and entertaining manner.
Fantastic story full of magic and adventure

I enjoy this book although not my favourite. I find it quite dark at times. a little reminiscent of frankensteins monster.
